Jake Paul went into full WWE mode after getting punched in the face by Mike Tyson in what many felt looked 100% scripted on both fighters’ part during Thursday’s weigh-in. Paul’s acting ability was childish and underdramatizeddoesn’t seem even remotely authentic. It looked so fake it was hard to watch.
Given how fake it all seemed due to Jake’s poor acting skills, fans will have to decide if they want to tune in to see the Paul vs. Tyson Friday night on Netflix or wait for the full contest to be uploaded to YouTube many times instantly. after.
The Tyson Slap looked written
Former heavyweight Tyson played his part better, but he’s been in movies before and knows how to act. It would have seemed more believable if Jake had walked away after the slap, but he had to ruin it by doing an interview and showing it was all an act.
Mike Tyson: “The talk is over,” Tyson said then Ariel Helwani asked him why he slapped Jake Paul during the face-off. “I f****n him up. It’s personal now. He needs to DIE.
Jake Paul: “He’s angry, an angry little elf. Mike, I thought it was a nice slap, but tomorrow you get knocked out.”
If kids or better yet, influencer Jake’s followers are the ones going to watch this WWE fight on Friday night, it won’t be bad for them because they are used to this stuff. But for true boxing fans who like to see real fights, they are not happy with what they see.
It’s a shame that Jake (10-1, 7 KOs) isn’t serious about wanting to become a good boxer, because he might develop into a fighter-level fighter instead of a YouTuber boxer on the KSI- level. I don’t think Jake is in this sport enough to take serious fights that would develop him.
