Jake Paul reacted with joy on social media to being called out by undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, taking it as validation of his standing in the sport after his victory over 58-year-old Mike Tyson last Friday night on Netflix. Jake’s view of his impact on the sport shows he is in the dark about his true stature.
Paul still hasn’t accepted the offer from Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KOs), and many fans doubt he will. While the 39-year-old Beterbiev fits Jake’s target category of being an older fighter, he still has too much left to be picked. It would be worse than a mismatch.
Jake satisfied with Beterbiev’s call
It would be a slaughter in Beterbiev’s favor because Paulus has no real ability. He’s just a rich YouTuber who fights and brawls in his spare time when he’s not taking care of his main job. Jake has only fought and lost to one active boxer during his career, Tommy Fury. This shows Jake’s operational level as a fighter. At his best Tommy is a British level fighter and even that is a stretch.
Self-described ‘disruptor’ in boxing, 27-year-old YouTuber Jake Paul says he now manage the sport for active and inactive combatants call him to battle. Jake has the following on social media to pick almost any fighter in boxing or MMA to fight, and they will agree to fight him because of the money. Any celebrity could do the same thing that Jake is, but they didn’t go in that direction.
“Just saw this….top 5 pound for pound fighter in the world calling me out. Hahahahaha. 4 years in, and I’m running this sport,” said Jake Paul Xwhich is responding to undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev being called out for a fight following his win over Mike Tyson last Friday.
Jake beat Tyson by an eight-round unanimous decision last Friday in front of more than 70,000 fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It wasn’t a great performance from Jake as he looked like a lower level celled kind of fighter, but Tyson was indescribable in terms of being awful.
Reflecting on how I disrupted boxing’s old guard…and it finally hit me, Mike Tyson was the original disruptor. Took the whole sport by storm and became an icon. Objectives are clear
