The duo set both course records and took a convincing win over 13.1 miles
Jack Rowe and Lucy Reid both won the Manchester Half Marathon (October 13).
The pair had fantastic performances and recorded respective records of 62:12 and 69:13.
Rowe, who defended his title at the Manchester Half, was an incredible 28 seconds faster than his victory last year.
It was his second half marathon in as many months after winning it Big half at 62:35.
The 28-year-old then spent some time relaxing in Greece and returned to the UK to win. Vitality London 10,000 with a time of 29:14.
It’s been a great season for Rowe, who has recorded personal bests in the 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m.
He also finished 17th at the European Championships over 5000m and then finished third at the British Athletics Championships over the distance.
Rowe, who held the Olympic 5000m qualifying standard, was not selected for the Games, with the three absentees being George Mills, Sam Atkin and Patrick Dever.
After the Vitality London 10,000, he recounted AW: that he was “trying to formulate a plan” that includes the 2025 5km, 10km and half marathon.
Two half marathon wins and a 10km victory put the Briton in a great position going into next season.
In Manchester, Rowe’s margin of victory was 31 seconds over Jacob Allen, with Alex Lepretre third in 64:14.
Reid also clocked a stunning time to record a personal best of 69:13 to win in Manchester.
