Jack Flaherty is reportedly not interested in signing with MLB 1 team

The Baltimore Orioles have been one of the most exciting teams in Major League Baseball over the past two seasons.

After very good regular seasons in 2023 and 2024, the Orioles faltered in the postseason and lost their first playoff series each year.

The Orioles didn’t add much talent this offseason, but they did lose a major part of their starting rotation as Corbin Burns signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

After losing the ace, the Orioles likely won’t be able to replace him with one of the best free agent starting pieces left.

MLB analyst Rich Dubroff recently revealed that free agent Jack Flaherty has no interest in signing with Baltimore.

“I’d actually be kind of surprised if Flaherty goes back to the Orioles. He didn’t have a good time there,” Dubroff said, via Foul Territory.

Flaherty pitched for the Orioles late in the 2023 season and did not perform well.

He appeared in nine games and went 1-3 with a 6.75 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 34.2 innings.

In 2024 with the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers, Flaherty started 28 games and went 13-7 with a 3.17 ERA and 194 strikeouts in 162.0 innings.

The Orioles will have to look elsewhere if they want to find a suitable replacement for Burns.
