Two-time Wimbledon finalist Jabeur, who also reached the US Open final in 2022, has been plagued by shoulder pain.

Since reaching the Roland Garros quarterfinals in June, Jabeur has been limited to 11 matches, going 6-5 in that span.
“This year has been extremely difficult for me and as athletes, we know that recovery is part of the journey,” Jabeur said in a post on social media. “Due to my ongoing shoulder injury, my medical team and I have made the difficult decision to step away from the tennis circuit for the rest of the season.
“While I’m taking time off to heal, I’ll be devoting myself to charity work and ensuring we make a real difference in the world.”
