Gjokovic says he could see too early that the menik had what it needed to be a top player.
“I can see it again three, four years ago that he will be one of the best players in the world,” he said. “I am very happy that he is using the potential he has because he has the full game. Of course his service is extraordinary: powerful, accurate, earns many free points with the first service.”
The menik served the light against the best return in the world on Sunday in Miami, but he used more than the service to overcome the line against Djokovic.
Gjokovic said the precursor of teens is one of his most improved shooting. No wing was broken under extreme pressure by Djokovic while the 37-year-old tried to force a third set.
“Also, – Czecheke school, they always have a great background,” Gjokovic said. “But forward, he is greatly improved. And moves for a tall boy, big like him, he slips and moves well.

Loved the fighting spirit
Gjokovic said he was impressed as he watched the menik as young in 2022, when Czecheke had full body cramps during a long battle with Bruno Kuzuhara in the boys final that year.
Gjokovic contacted him after that match and invited him to train with him. They have been in touch – and have trained together periodically – since then.
“I loved the fighting spirit when he was in the final I saw in Australia, and undoubtedly a big game. It looked like a beautiful, Eastern European boy. I made a call through my management, managing him and we found a relationship. He agreed to come.
“We had three training blocks together. And in fact, his physique with him was now my physio, the Serbian boy. There are many things we have in common.
