Frank Warren, the promoter of Moses Itauma, says they will sort out an opponent for him for his next battle in July this week. His son, Francis Warren, called travelers Otto Wallin and Jermaine Franklin as possible opponents for the newly-ranged #1 WBO-heavyweight contender for Itauma (12-0, 10 COs) to fight next.
Itauma’s next fighting plans
Warren asks, “How do I get him rounds?”. Well, it will help if he starts to match an actual pulse that can fight against opposition. Put itauma in with one of these gold-geminie heavyweights in a sink-or-swim fight:
– Agit Kabayel
– Jalolov Yalolov
– Joseph Parker
– Richard Torrez Jr.
I would hate to think of a talent like Jalolov, Kabayel or Torrez Jr. Would do to Itauma. They could make him in mince, and no amount of soft matches could create the hype that was there once. If Itauma tried to fight at least one of the killers, I would respect him and give him credit if he lost.
Unfortunately, the predators are not mentioned for his next battle. The travelers, Jermaine Franklin and Otto Wallin, are. It is essentially the same kind of fighters as Itauma fought. There is no upgrade with the two.
Therefore, it is better if fighters are combined against quality opposition, so that the supporters are not angry if they see acting and blown out after years. They should be weed early if they do not have the talent, rather than artificially made to look good.
If itauma loses, his promoters would know what they got with him. He seems vulnerable to me, just like his brother, Karol, who was gently connected in the first nine fights of his career, and created a record of 9-0 with 7 knockouts, before a disaster struck when veteran Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna knocked him out. There was a lot of hype behind Karol before his loss.
These names could not excite fans on social media, which the fighters consider, are more the same opposition at feed level. Itauma (20) has been fighting since he became pro in 2023. In the battle of Moses last Saturday, he fought former NFL player Mike Balogun and predictably knocked him out in two rounds in Glasgow, Scotland.
Murat GasieV has already stopped the 36-year-old Balogun in two rounds. It is unclear whether this is why he was selected for Itauma. Boxing fans would like to see Moses Itauma start fighting contenders now that he has arranged #1 through the WBO and is considered the next star in the heavyweight section.
Matchmaking makes FigHters
“How do I get him rounds? If guys are big punchers, these are big punches. We fed a few fights where we thought we would get a few rounds, and he took out guys who are durable fighters, ‘says promoter Frank Warren to Boxnation When asked how he gets heavyweight contender Moses Itauma.
The guys who fought Itauma will lose almost any heavyweight in the upper level. If he beat the terribly poor fighters, it competed with a false picture of his real talent. Those guys will lose to someone.
Itauma’s last six opponents:
– Mike Balogun
– Demsey McKean
– Mariusz Wach
– ilja mesce
– and Garber
– Michal was
“He is not far from the struggle for the big one (heavyweight world title). He will fight in July, and hopefully we will sort out an opponent this week. The organizations are watching him because they love what they see. Once he gets into the ring, he’s a monster. All the names (Jermaine Franklin and Otto Wallin) for a young fighter who sounds through the name. ‘
Otto Wallin comes from a loss and looks completely shot at this stage of his career. He was always just a light hit with an amateur style. He gave Tyson Fury problems in 2019 because the ‘Gypsy King’ was never so good of a fighter. Again, match. You can make someone look good with the perfect match, and we see it with Moses Itauma.
“In a heartbeat,” Warren said when asked if he would be interested in suiting Itauma against Justis Huni if the Australian conquered on June 7 in his collision against Fabio Wardley.
Huni has a decent chin. If he hangs six or seven rounds there against Itauma, he will knock him out and end his career before it begins. Yet Huni is not a good heavyweight either. I’d rather see Itauma facing a heavyweight of golden quality like Torrez Jr., Jalolov or Parker.
