The Moses Itauma against Dillian Whyte Fight, along with the bottom map, was announced in Riyadh for August 16. The event is shown on Dazn. In the co-function, WBO featherweight champion Nick Ball will defend against Superbantam weight Sam Goodman.
Itauma-whyte Riyadh main event
Itauma’s promoter is excited about this battle and says, “Everyone loves it.” The fight is considered another mismatch for Itauma (12-0, 10 COs), which is very carefully moved. Whyte rinsed, probably lost 3 out of his last 6 battles and is no longer arranged in the top -15 by any of the four sanction bodies.

- Anthony Cacace vs Raymond Ford
- Filip Hrgovic vs. David Adelye
- Hayato Tsutaumi vs Quais Ashfaq
“I like the fight. I think everyone loves it. It is a bloody good fight. Moses is the new child on the block. He is 20 years old, has done everything that has been asked of him, ‘promoter Frank Warren told Queensberry Youtube Channel about a fight between Moses Itauma and 37-year-old travelman Dilliam Whyte on August 16 in Riyadh.
Itauma-whyte is a step for Moses from his last two fights against Mike Balogun and Demsey McKean. Those fighters would defeat the remains of Dillian at this late stage of his career.
Dillian Whyte’s career drops
Whyte has not beaten a significant name in years, and he is at 37 years old. Dillian struggled in his last battle against Ebenezer Tetteh last December. He looked over in the fight and was fortunate that Tetten, 37, was not so old. If he was a little younger, Whyte would have been in trouble.
“Obviously, if I go with someone like Dillian, who has a wealth of experience on the upper level, and so on, it will be a very big test for him to see what he is all about. Dillian has fought over the years and gave a good version of himself against some good fighters. He hit some good fighters. So, it will be a tough test for Moses if it happens, “says Warren.
I wouldn’t say whye was with ‘everyone’. His resume is shaky and is not under investigation. Dillian was in the British heavyweights, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, but the guys were never as good as many people thought. They were two carefully matched with heavyweights that lost as soon as they were put into a good fighter, Oleksandr Ulsyk.
So, Dillian was not with everyone yet, and he, even in his first place, would have lost to most of the top ten contenders in this era.
Dillian’s biggest battles
– Tyson Fury: l
– Anthony Joshua: l
– Alexander Povetkin: L&W
– Joseph Parker: W
– Derek Chisora: W x 2
– Robert Helenius: W
– JERMAINE FRANKLIN: W questionable
– Oscar Rivas
Whyte lost to Povetkin and would have been beaten in the Rematch if the Russian fighter did not come from a disease, dealing with Covid. The Roughhouse tactics used by Whyte would probably have led him to penalize several times if that fight was fed on neutral grass.
It wasn’t a prime parker either. The current version of Parker now surpasses that of Whyte. One also cannot give Whyte credit for the beating of Parker. Beating travel man Chisora means nothing, because he was a British domestic level heavyweight during his lead, not a true top fighter.
Fans want Itauma to fight a live contender, such as Richard Torrez Jr., Martin Bakole or Bakhodir Jalalov. However, it can be too risky for Itauma because they could expose him as a falsehood. It will destroy things.
