Is only for the time for Jessica Pegula to return to the scene of its first big final. World No. 4 would like to go in 2025 US Open with a little wind under its wings, but at the moment it may not seem to take its feet from the ground.

Pegula was a twice defensive champion in Canada this week, but could not call the faith that led him to Montreal titles in 2023 and Toronto last year.
For Pegula, who played and lost the final to Aryna Sabalenka at US Open last year, is just not that good.
“It has not been great, to be honest,” the 31-year-old said on Friday in Montreal. “I really don’t feel like playing great tennis. Sometimes I’m, but I feel too high and down, the liquid type I don’t like. I really bother me. I’m a perfectionist kind, so I don’t like to say that.
“I feel like I have passed the stage in my career, some tours, where I sometimes feel so, and you need to understand how to get out of it and not feel bad about yourself or make excuses. I’ve understood it.”
Pegula still has time to run the ship. She will go to Cincinnati Open next next week, hoping to build momentum ahead of the last Grand Slam of the year.
She believes it should be a better problem solver, starting now.
“You have to do it in those moments in the match where you are at the moment where you have to compete and understand things,” she said. “I don’t think I’ve been able to make it brilliant, the last two games, so I hope to go to Cincy I think it will be my main focus, every single match is focusing on those big points and those big games because I think I’m playing some good tennis to get up in these matches, and there are times when I am a good one,
“So I have to figure out how to keep that high level against these good players.”
