Paulie Malignaggi was not surprised that Gervonta Davis had problems against Lamont Roach last Saturday night in their lightweight world title fight in Brooklyn, New York.
“Cherry Pick” went wrong
The competition is definitely as a 12 -round draw, but fans saw it as a loss for tank. Malignaggi considers the fight as a cherry choice wrong for tank. Despite the fact that the lightweight section was loaded with talent, Davis Roach selected from the Super Featherweight Division and believed he would be an easy point.
He agrees with supporters that the referee’s call to prevent the Knockdown from winning the fight. Malig Naggi points out that Davis (30-0-1, 28 COs) is 30 and did not fight one of the top fighters in the 135 pound weight class. He has earned PPV all these years and fights against beatable fighters.

Over the past eight years, Gervonta has fought limited opposition. His best victory came against Ryan Garcia, but it was one with a double blow of a catch and rehydration clause. Ryan was foolish to agree in one of these things.

Top lightweight debate
