Head Coach of the Indian National Cricket Team Gautam Gambhir refused to take any credit for the star wicket-taker’s success Sanju Samson recently in T20I cricket.
Coach Gautam Gambhir said that the purchase of Sanju Samson has nothing to do with him and all the credit should go to the dead body himself.

Sanju Samson shone as an opener for India
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson finally got consistent opportunities in the Indian team and he made sure to deliver the goods.
Sanju had promised Samson the captaincy Suryakumar Yadav During the Duleep Trophy, he said that he would make it seven consecutive matches as an opener on the trot in T20I cricket.
Sanju Samson scored 29 and 19 runs in his first two outings before smashing a stunning ton in the third match against Bangladesh in Hyderabad.
When India came to South Africa for the T20Is, Sanju Samson continued his form and blasted an epic century. Wicket-keeper Sanju Samson received the Player of the Match award for his heroics with the bat in the first T20I of four matches. series against the South African National Cricket Team at Kingsmead in Durban.
He completed his half-century off 27 balls and looked quite desperate to reach three figures. Samson accelerated further and scored a stunning ton off 47 balls, the fastest by an Indian against South Africa.
He also became the first Indian cricketer in history to score two consecutive T20I centuries. But in the next match he took 3 bulk ducks.

Speaking at the press conference, Gautam Gambhir said that Samson has shone because he has been given the right number of support by the management.
“Not at all; I don’t think it has anything to do with me. I think it’s his ability. It was giving him the right number and supporting him. I think at the end of the day, it’s his hard work. What he’s doing for Indian cricket. it’s just the beginning, it’s not the end, hopefully he can continue to take this form forward,” he said.

Gautam Gambhir further stated that he is happy to see young Indian cricketers succeed at the international level. He said it is a good sign that Indian cricket is producing extremely talented young cricketers.
“A good sign for me is that some young players are really coming through, which is always healthy and good for Indian cricket,” he said.
Gambhir has already left for Australia with the first batch of the Indian team. After the debacle against New Zealand in the home Test series, Gautam Gambhir would have hoped for a better performance against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
