Is Dalton Smith deception or did he find the key to beating Subriel Matias?

Dalton Smith says he has a “Weakness” In the match of the WBC Light Welterweight Champion Subriel Matias he will expose if they fight in Riyadh on November 22.

The Eddie Hearn-promoted Smith (18-0, 13 COs) gives no tips on what the weakness is, but he says he studied Matias’ loss against Liam Paro last year to see them. This is very clear what Dalton observed.

Subriel Matias’s vulnerabilities revealed

  • Feet must be set to punch: He can’t get started. Subriel struggles when his opponents run around the ring, as we saw against Paro and Alberto Puello.
  • Vulnerable to rough home tactics: Paro shook him and constantly hit Matias with rabbit stems. He did not respond in Natura, and the referee who worked their battle did nothing to stop this tactic by Liam. Of course, a quality referee doing his job will prevent the rough homes if that’s what Dalton will use as his way to victory.
  • Jab not: Matias focuses too much on throwing power shots, and he can be nailed on his way.

“Everyone says he’s the Boogeyman. When he (Liam) fought paro, I said, ‘Don’t be surprised if Paro Matias beats. “I just found this weakness in his style, and Paro obviously exposed him a little,” Dalton Smith said Ring magazineTalk about his fight against the WBC Light Welterweight Champion Subriel Matias on November 22.

Why Smith’s claims are fooling

Smith, 28, also has weaknesses, begins with his lack of experience against elite competition. He was well taken care of by the match promoter Hearn, and had a steady diet of opposition at C level his entire career. Dalton’s last two fights against Walid Ouizza and Mathieu Germain were considered important steps in the class, but still there was nowhere near the same talent level as subriel.

Smith has a great regard for himself and says that he is a ‘is’nightmare ”” For Matias, a comment that is difficult to take seriously, given his weak resume. If he hit someone well, the remark would make more sense. With his best career victories against Quizza and Germain, you can only say that he sounds deceived.

Dalton’s lack of proper preparation

If Dalton is blown out by Matias on November 22, Hearn should consider it a lesson in matchmaking. It does not pay to fit a fighter against a poor opposition and then throws it into a world champion without going through a proper walk -up phase to prepare them. In this case, Smith should have already fought by these 140 pounds of contenders:

  1. Kamaine ortiz
  2. Ernesto Mercado
  3. Lindolfo Delgado
  4. Oscar Duarte
  5. Arnold Barboza Jr.
  6. Sandor Martin
  7. Isaac Cruz
  8. Keyshawn Davis

All of these fighters are likely to beat Dalton Smith with ease. Hearn promotes Ernesto Mercado, and he could easily have made a fight between him and Smith. Why didn’t he? I think we know the answer.
