Virat Kohli injury: Ankle problem, replaced on field

Meanwhile, in the RCB side, Virat Kohli also faced his own fitness scare. The star prospect, known for his consistency and composure under pressure, looked slightly out of rhythm during the batting. Although he managed to score 50 off 38 balls, Kohli was troubled at times with treatment on his left leg during the innings.

Commentator Simon Doull later confirmed that Kohli had suffered an ankle injury. As a precaution, RCB decided not to risk their star player in the second innings. Instead, Jacob Bethell came on as his replacement, underscoring the team’s cautious approach to Kohli’s fitness.

RCB secured an 18 run win over MI

Despite the injury setbacks, the match itself was full of action and great performances. RCB posted a huge total of 240/4 thanks to a series of impressive batting displays. Phil Salt scored 78 while Kohli contributed a steady half-century. Captain Rajat Patidar also played a vital role by scoring 53 and ensuring that RCB maintained their momentum throughout the innings.

Chasing a tough target, MI fought hard but ultimately failed. The absence of Rohit Sharma at the key stage of the innings certainly affected their chase. However, Sherfane Rutherford’s late fireworks kept MI in the contest and gave fans a glimmer of hope. In the end he finished with MI 222/5, It gave RCB an 18-run win.

After the match, Patidar provided some relief to the fans by providing an update on Kohli’s condition. “I don’t know yet, but I think he’s doing well right now.” said the RC captain.

On the other hand, the MI camp remained silent on Rohit’s injury. The lack of clarity has added to the concern, especially given Rohit’s importance to the team as a top-order batsman.
