Anil Kumble breaks Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s clever approach against Jasprit Bumrah

A legendary spinner Anil Kumble was full of praise for Rajasthan Royals emphasizing the tactical intelligence behind his young, aggressive shot. Speaking after the match, Kumble pointed out how unusual it was that he was being dictated to by Bumrah and not the other way around.

According to Kumble, Suryavanshi didn’t just react, she waited. After launching a six off the first delivery he faced from Bumrah, the young batsman forced the bowler to rethink his approach. Instead of letting Bumrah control the duel, Suryavanshi changed the script by preparing him for the slower ball.

The former India captain also praised the youngster’s remarkable strike rate, noting how consistently he has maintained an ultra-aggressive pace in recent outings.

“Soryavanshi looks easy against one of the best bowlers in the world. First the ball hits him for a six and then he sets him up. He sets up the bowler, not the other way around. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s consistency in terms of batting style and strike rate is close to 300 per game batting and scoring more than 30 runs in a row, which is great. Kumble said on JioHotstar.

The match played in Guwahati was reduced to 11 overs due to rain and added urgency to every delivery. Opening next to it Yashasvi JaiswalSuryavanshi took charge without wasting time.
