Former Indian cricketer Muhammad Kaif excited the cricket community by suggesting that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) should consider signing Rohit Sharma as the upcoming captain Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction. It comes in the light of advice Mumbai Indians (MI) Potentially dropping Rohit, who has been the cornerstone of their franchise since 2011.
The changing turmoil in the Mumbai Indian leadership
Rohit’s captaincy came under question recently when he was appointed MI Hardik Pandya as his successor before last season. This decision caused a serious backlash from the fans, especially after the disappointing performance of MI, who finished last in the points table. Kaif, who has played for RCB throughout his career, felt that bringing in Rohit could be a game-changer for the team, especially given his track record as one of the most successful captains in IPL history. Kaif further emphasized that Rohit’s leadership qualities are unmatched and he should only play in the IPL if he is given the captaincy role.
Kaif said in an interview to “Star Sports”. “Rohit Sharma should only play as a captain… very few people have that ability, any player can have a bad run but Rohit Sharma is famous for bringing out the best in cricketers. RCB should buy Rohit and make him captain,” he said.

My thoughts on why RCB should go all out to get Rohit Sharma as their captain. He has a very rare quality – pyaar se kaam nikalna jaanta hai. He is the player’s captain and tactically no one can come close to him. https://t.co/gmiemk50FO
