Long awaited IPL 2025 Mega Auction kicked off with a bang, delivering a day full of excitement, surprises and record-breaking deals. The franchises spent a combined INR 467.95 crore on the 72 players, giving a dramatic start to the bidding extravaganza. Teams like it Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Mumbai Indians (MI)and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) demonstrated strategic moves, while others engaged in fierce bidding wars to secure top players.

The conflicting strategies employed by the franchises were evident, with some opting to spend aggressively on high-profile players while others focused on keeping a substantial budget for the second bidding day.
