Major League Baseball’s offseason was full of drama and excitement as the free agent class was loaded with top talent.
Juan Soto provided plenty of expectations before signing a 15-year, $765 million deal with the New York Mets.
The outfielder was the top offensive player in the free agent class, but Baltimore Orioles top starter Corbin Burns has yet to sign a contract with the team through 2025.
MLB Insider Mark Feinsand recently revealed what Burns is looking for in a new contract.
“Corbin Burns is looking for a deal worth ‘at least’ $245 million,” Feinsand said, via the B/R Walk-Off .

Burns debuted with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2018 and played for them for six years before being traded to the Orioles in 2024.
The 30-year-old’s reported demands could be a steep price for some teams.
In 2024, Burns started 32 games and went 15-9 with a 2.92 ERA and 181 strikeouts in 194.1 innings.
Burns has proven he can be a rotation ace and wants a contract that reflects that.
One team reportedly interested in Burns is the San Francisco Giants, which is significant due to growing up in the California area.
All eyes will be on Burns as he is the top starting tight end and it appears that several teams may still make a play for him.
