As the Major League Baseball offseason begins and free agency heats up, the Juan Soto lottery is still at the top of the list.
Soto has received interest from multiple teams, including the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays.
With the top free agent on the market negotiating with multiple teams, all eyes and ears are on the situation.
According to ESPN’s MLB Insider Buster Olney, Soto’s latest lottery update includes teams expected to start sending offers this week.

Olney describes teams so far just meeting with Soto to get to know him better, with no offers yet.
The bidding is expected to begin this week as things heat up in the race to sign the star player.
While many say Soto will likely sign with either the Yankees or the Mets, there’s always the possibility that a dark horse team swoops in and deals him.
Soto earned his way to becoming a top free agent by hitting .288 with 41 home runs, 109 RBI and a .989 OPS in his first season with the Yankees.
The Yankees are likely to try their best to bring Soto back, but some speculation includes Mets owner Steve Cohen cashing in and outbidding other teams.
It will be interesting to see how this thing plays out and who signs the All-Star quarterback.
