Major League Baseball’s offseason has already seen some big deals, such as the Los Angeles Dodgers signing Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million contract.
While there has been some notable activity, everyone is still waiting for free agent Juan Soto to make his decision.
Soto has reportedly held talks with the Dodgers, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays and is expected to announce his decision soon.
There has been a lot of speculation when it comes to how much Soto will sign for, with one MLB insider reflecting on what the ceiling could be.
“750 (million) dollars for 15 years, 50 million dollars per year. Can it reach those places? I don’t know,” Rosenthal said, via Foul Territory.

There has been a lot of speculation about how much money Soto will get, which is usually in the $600 million range.
Rosenthal dismissed the possibility of Soto hitting the $750 million mark, but questions whether it’s worth giving him a deal that length.
Soto is 26 years old and in the prime of his career and has a 15-year contract until he is 41 years old.
Another possible reason that contract money could increase is a bidding war, especially among teams in New York.
Whatever happens with Soto, it’s fair to say it’s going to be an interesting finish.
Until then, baseball fans will be on the edge of their seats.
