The Baltimore Orioles had another productive regular season in 2024, finishing with a record of 91 wins and 71 losses.

While the Orioles were 20+ games over .500 for the second straight season, it was also their second straight season losing in their first round of the postseason.

The Orioles made some moves before the 2024 season in an attempt to make a run at the playoffs, including adding their ace starting pitcher, Corbin Burns.

Burns will now hit the free agent market until the 2025 season, and Major League Baseball Insider Kyle McDaniel predicts how much money he could make.

McDaniel plans to sign Burns to a $200 million contract plus free agency.

Burns was a longtime Milwaukee Brewer before joining the Orioles organization for the 2024 season.

His 2024 season included 32 starts with a 15-9 record with a 2.92 earned run average and 181 strikeouts in 194.1 innings.

In the postseason, Burns played one game against the Kansas City Royals where he went eight innings allowing five hits, one earned run and one walk while striking out three.

Burns appears to have proven that he is still an ace-caliber starter in both the regular and postseason, which could earn him a big contract this offseason.

Along with Burns, some other notable starters who will test free agency include Blake Snell, Jack Flaherty and Max Fried.

It will be interesting to see if the Orioles stay aggressive and try to re-sign Burns before the 2025 season.
