The Chicago White Sox are coming off one of the worst seasons in Major League Baseball history as they finished with just 41 wins and 121 losses.
In a season where three teams made the postseason in the American League Central, the White Sox were done before 2025.
During the 2024 season, the White Sox fired manager Pedro Grifoli and Grady Sizemore took over for the remainder of the season.
As the White Sox search for the right person to fill the position in 2025, they have narrowed the search down to three names.
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale of Channel X, the finalists for the White Sox manager job are Will Venable, Phil Nevin and Craig Albernaz.
The Chicago White Sox and Miami Marlins could find themselves in the running for the same managerial candidates.

The finalists for the position are Venable, who is an associate manager of the Texas Rangers, Phil Nevin, a former manager of the Los Angeles Angels, and Albernaz, who is the bench coach of the Cleveland Guardians.
Venable and Albernaz appear to be finalists for the Miami Marlins manager job as well, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.
Nightengale explains that both the White Sox and Marlins want a manager in place by next week when GM meetings begin.
After missing the postseason for the third straight year, the White Sox will look to turn things around next season.
