The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule of the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team for the upcoming home season. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will host West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team and Ireland Women’s National Cricket Team in the white-ball series.
The West Indies Women’s National Cricket Team will be the first to come to India. The two teams will lock horns with each other in a three-match T20I series, followed by a three-match ODI series at two different venues.
The West Indies series will begin on December 15
The first T20I between the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side and the West Indies Women’s Cricket Team will be played on December 15, followed by the second on December 17. The final match will be held on December 19. All the matches will be played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
The ODI series between India and West Indies will begin on December 22. The last two games are scheduled for December 24 and 27, respectively. Over 50 games between two heavyweight athletes will be held in Baroda.
The Irish series will start from January 10
After the West Indies series, the Ireland Women’s National Cricket Team will be on tour. They will cross swords with each other in a three-match ODI series. The series will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship along with West Indies ODIs.
The first ODI between the host Women’s National Cricket Team and Ireland Women’s National Cricket Team will be played on January 10. The last two matches of the series will be held on January 12 and 15, respectively. All the three matches will be played in Rajkot.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will enter the white-ball series against the West Indies as well as the towering Ireland. They recently defeated the New Zealand Women’s National Cricket Team 2-1 at home in the three-match ODI series and would hope to continue the same form in the upcoming two series.
