Kohli’s reign as captain was equally historic, with his double centuries against the likes of South Africa, England and Sri Lanka standing as a testament to his class and mental toughness.
However, Amla’s inactivity of Kohli can be viewed through the lens of recent developments as the Indian legend retired from Test cricket earlier this year after a glorious chapter of more than a decade.
