Field conditions at Green Park
India, currently leads the series 1-0Aiming to complete a clean sweep against Bangladesh and further cement their position as the top-ranked team in the World Test Championship era. In the previous Test at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, India played with three pacers and two spinners, taking advantage of the help provided by the red clay pitch.
However, the Kanpur pitch is expected to be different. Known for its black ground, it is likely to offer initial help to the pacers but will gradually turn into a spinner’s paradise as the match progresses. With the expected low bounce and slow conditions, the Indian spinners are expected to dominate.

It should be noted that two pitches have been prepared for the decider of the series.
“I can’t give you the 11th right now. Everyone is available. We don’t know what surface we will play on yet. The conditions would be a big factor in deciding the team combination. The conditions here have changed so much that we expect a sunny day here tomorrow.” Nayar said.
The last Test match played at Green Park Stadium was India vs New Zealand from November 25 to 29, 2021. The match ended in a draw, with significant visibility issues affecting the final session of the game. Poor lighting conditions led to frustrations for the Indian team as they were unable to win despite having a strong position throughout the game.
