If you have ever thought about whether Bryson Dechambeau likes to play on the bomber-Fryently, high height of the city of Mexico, you probably do not know very well Bryson Dechambeau.
“It was a pleasure to hit the ball away,” he said on Friday.
Hard to argue this.
Dechambeau average 370 yards away Tee and hit three discs over 400 yards, and in it First round since masters shot an eight under 63 on Friday to lead Liv’s Golf’s Mexico City Event at the Chapultepec Club Golf.
“If the right roads become strong, it can be more (distance),” he said. “It may be much more.”
He drove the first 396-Oborri-Oborri Hole of the Day, which led to a bird-and threw his hands up into the air to celebrate, a return to 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational when Dechambeau, then in PGA Tour, cleaned the water and reached the PAR-5 in Bay Hill.
“It was playing 390, and I’m like, I can also get up in the bunkers and have a somewhat light bunker hook, and luckily I did it and raised it near the hole,” Dechambeau said. “Almost climbing the hole for a somewhat light eagle blow and then enough luck to make a two -putt bird. I read the first wrongdoing. But it was a brilliant bird.”
63 of Dechambeau comes to his first round since the masters two weeks ago, when he found himself in the latest Sunday pairing along with Rory Mcilroy, kept solo lead, but stumbled.
He shot 75 and tied up for 5 to record his second direct top 10.
“I felt good with the driver (today), luckily, and that’s really a good thing or for me,” Dechambeau said on Friday. “He took him to Augusta, he didn’t have my handcuffs. He worked in my handcuffs, I feel like they are a little better. Clipping around the greens was stellar today. He made a few batteries. But in general, it was a pleasure to end up with a pleasant noise in the last hole.”
After the third round in Augusta, Dechambeau worked in his cuffs in the range. He said on Friday that he is calling them again and getting a little more comfortable.
“When I get under pressure and things faster, my hands can get really quick,” he said. “I’m optimizing for some accessories and we have some items coming here soon, after PGA for sure, but if I get it called and I’m under pressure and get those quick hands again, we hope this will be facilitated this time.”
