On Tuesday, September 3, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Ajay Ratra has been appointed as the newest member of the Ajit Agarkar-led Men’s Selection Committee.
Previous India wicketkeeper-batsman Ajay Ratra has replaced Salil Ankola in the panel and he brings with him a good deal of experience.
In an official statement released, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that Ajay Ratra will work with other selectors to identify the best talent in the country and provide adequate opportunities to the players.
“The Cricket Advisory Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday named Mr. Ajay Ratra as the newest member of the Men’s Selection Committee headed by Mr. Ajit Agarkar. Mr. Ratra will replace Mr. Salil Ankola on the Committee,” BCCI said.
“As a selector, Mr. Ratra will work with the existing members of the selection committee to identify and nurture the next generation of cricketers who will represent India on the global stage,” the BCCI added.
“His insights will be instrumental to the committee in ensuring that the best talent is identified, nurtured and given the opportunity to excel at the highest level,” the BCCI further wrote.
