The Barcelona winger Raphinha was enraged by his shock Defeat 2-1 against Las Palmas on Saturday, insisted his side have been doing “a lot of things wrong” in their recent run of form.
The goals of ex-Culer Sandro Ramírez and Wolves loanee Fabio Silva were enough for the Canarian team ruin the celebrations of Barça’s 125th anniversarywhich allowed Atlético de Madrid to cut their lead at the top of La Liga to just two points.
Real Madrid can also be within a point of Barca if they beat Getafe on Sunday and Raphinha could not contain his anger after his league winless run extended to three games.
He told reporters: “We’ve got to look at what we’re doing wrong to try and win the game. I think we’ve dropped the level of what we’re doing and it’s making it difficult for us during games.
“We have to try to improve. We are doing a lot of things wrong. I am angry. We have the next game on Tuesday and we have to turn it around.
“I don’t care about my goal, I care about the win.”
Raphinha, who took the captain’s armband again on Saturday, already has his best goalscoring figures in a single season for Barçamaking it 14 with his last strike. He has only been outscored in the league by team-mate Robert Lewandowski, but the fragility of his side in defense will no doubt be a major concern for manager Hansi Flick.
There have been areas for improvement under the former Bayern Munich and Germany manager, however a statistic has shown that they may not have progressed both under new management as previously thought.
