If it were up to me, the limited edition season would be year round.
I love it when OEMs go a little crazy, let their hair down and experiment a little. Sometimes the results are silly, other times sublime, but they’re almost always fun.
And as we’ve said about a million times before, golf is a game and games are supposed to be fun.
That’s why Srixon should take a well-deserved tip of the painter’s hat to his latest limited-edition, Tournament paint collection.

What is the Srixon Tour Ink Collection?
The limited edition releases we see this time of year are usually yellow and green (or worse, azalea-themed) and centered around that annual gathering in Georgia. But Srixon deserves credit for doing something no one else would have thought of: limited-edition hats and bags in honor of this week’s Valspar Championship in Innisbrook, Florida.
Tour Ink Collection it’s pretty simple: four Srixon Tour hats and three Srixon S3 stand bags splashed with colors from either an avant-garde artist or a clumsy house painter. They bring a certain atmosphere of Easter eggs.

“We’re always looking to bring something new and exciting to the course,” says Srixon Senior Product Manager Casey Schultz. “The Tour Ink Collection felt like a great way to welcome the spring season.”
Srixon’s Tour staff will be wearing Tour Ink headgear this weekend at Valspar. The collection features a different color for each day of the tournament: red, black, light blue and white.
The Srixon S3 support bag is also getting the Tour Ink treatment. They will be available in three colors: White Splash, Black Splash and a sweet looking Baby Blue Splash.

Why Valspar?
Valspar is a curious event to focus on a limited edition of soft goods. It didn’t make much sense to me until I looked up what Valspar is: one of America’s oldest paint and coating brands.
Because I know you won’t be able to enjoy your day without knowing it, Valspar was founded in 1806 in Boston and is known for interior and exterior home paints, wood stains and seals, commercial/industrial coatings and automotive finishes.

The name Valspar comes from a pioneering clear spray developed by the Valentine family, a former owner of the company. Valspar has been a subsidiary of Sherwin-Williams since 2016.
This, my friends, is the kind of information that curious golfers can only find on MyGolfSpy.
You are welcome.
of Srixon Tour Ink Collection hats are $34.99 and bags are $279.99.
