“BCCI has found itself in a win-win situation. Here in Pakistan too, I hear people saying ‘we fought and won it’, but they are illiterate. They have been given a ‘lollipop’. From the beginning, I felt that the hybrid model would be the only solution because there is no other option in this situation.” .
“Pakistan has said that they will not go to India to play, but time will tell. The country is currently facing an unstable situation. If something happens with the other one. teamswhat will happen then? The entire tournament may move to Dubai. Everyone has family concerns and we should respect that. Considering the current situation, let’s hope that the tournament will pass smoothly under the hybrid model.

Denmark’s Kaneria added that if both India and Pakistan make it to the final, there will be other issues. The former cricketer emphasized that the PCB should ensure smooth conduct of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He believes that if something happens, the entire tournament will be moved to Dubai. He added:
“The interesting thing is, if both India and Pakistan make the final, then it has to be played in Dubai, right? That brings up another issue: if you can play the final in Dubai, then what’s the problem with playing the games? In India?”
“Looking at the situation, they should ensure that the situation in Pakistan remains stable. Teams come here and play matches. Other teams should not raise questions and the entire tournament should take place in Dubai.”

Denmark’s Kaneria also feels that the India vs Pakistan match will witness a huge crowd as, according to him, the fans will see Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and jasprit bumrah.
He said it would boost Pakistan cricket if it successfully hosts the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He added:
“The whole stadium and even the roads would be full of people. Because people are fans of Rohit (Sharma), Virat (Kohli) and (Jasprit) Bumrah. The younger generation emulates these players,”
“International cricket has already revived in Pakistan. Now Pakistan should focus on the Champions Trophy instead of other things.
