International Boxing Association (IBA) is proud to be the only international federation committed to protecting the rights of athletes worldwide and maintaining the integrity of female sports. The executive order of the US president Donald Trump “to keep men out of women’s sport” proves that IBA has fired firmly, and the female boxers rightly protected from unfair competition.
In light of the sexual evidence for generations around boxers in 2022 and 2023, the IBA proactively performed all necessary testing and then prohibited individuals who were not eligible to participate in women’s competitions. Despite the fact that the IOC was notified of the disqualification of Imane khelif And Lin Yu-ting disregarded the IOC this critical information, allowing both athletes to compete in the qualifiers and eventually at the 2024 Olympics, where they won gold medals, who deny opportunities for the meritorious female athletes.
As a result, IBA is becoming an official complaint with the attorney -general of Switzerland, Mr. Stefan Blätter, to submit to the IOC’s actions that facilitated the participation of these unfit athletes in the 2024 Olympic Boxing Tournament in Paris. According to the Swiss legislation, there is any action or actions that a security risk poses for competition that participants investigate, investigate and serve as grounds for criminal prosecution. In addition, similar complaints must be lodged with the Attorneys -General of France and the US.
“President Trump’s order to ban transgender athletes from women’s sports confirms IBA’s efforts to protect the integrity of female sports,” IBA president Umar Kremlev claimed. ‘Our actions are aimed at ensuring gender equality in boxing. We call on other international federations to follow the example of IBA, as we are uniquely positioned to address and plead this issue for the rights of our athletes.
President Kremlev further encouraged boxers affected by the IOC’s decision to allow Khelif and Lin to compete at the Paris 2024 qualification tournament or Olympic boxing meetings to legal action against IOC president Thomas Bach, sports director Kit McConnell and their respective teams practice.
IBA will provide comprehensive legal support to our boxers in these lawsuits, as it is a clear violation of human rights, an outrage to the female boxers, and merely a crime that must be punished accordingly. This initiative underlines the IBA’s commitment to providing a fair and fair sports environment for all athletes.
