Filip Hrgovic (18-1, 14 costs) says his goal is to get a re-broadcast with IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois to try to avenge his loss of him after his career-saving ten-round victory over Joe Joyce (16-4, 15 costs) Saturday night in the Co-Op Live Arena in Mancester, England.

Hrgoivic says he will have to fight in a title -eliminator against one of the top contenders to put him in position to fight Dubois or one of the other champions in the division. He says he expects to be in the ring again in the summer. However, HRGOVIC has suffered cuts over both eyes, and it will have to heal. He will have to go through the camp to fight in a title Eliminator this summer.
A terminated HRGOVIC admitted after the fight that he was not at his best, and blamed it that he had a short three -week camp that prevented him 100%. However, Philip looked the same as he had in his previous battle against Dubois, but then he also said again that he was also not physically in optimal condition. That’s what happens when fighters age. They are rarely injury -free.
Tonight, Hrgovic landed enough clean, hard push against the ‘The Juggernaut’ Joyce to win with the scores 97-93, 98-92 and 96-95. HRGOVIC fought well in the stretch of 8, 9 and 10 to win. It was not a vintage performance of HRGOVIC, but as he said, his camp was short and he was not 100%.
When you hear a fighter make excuses after repeated defective performances, you must believe that they cannot confront the truth about themselves. HRGOVIC is not good enough, and he blames it at age, injuries, poor training or whatever. He is not talented enough to overcome all these problems.
Dubois rematch purpose

“I did really badly in my last battle. Congratulations to him. He did an incredible job last year, and of course I want a rematch. I would like to fight in a title -eliminator and fight for a title. It is my goal to win a world title. I think I need one more fight to get into position, ‘says Hrgovic.
