It was everyone’s match until Sabalenka left with the decision maker and gave Swiatte a taste of her medicine – a bagel.

Swiatek says its intensity fell so little and it gave the Sabalenka the window to collapse.

“I think I lost my intensity a little, and she just played strong enough, as in the first set, but I didn’t respond to so well and just couldn’t push again,” she told reporters. “Just just playing I probably playing, how, really five percent faster or more spin.”

Paul was offering to become the first woman in the history of the open era to win four consecutive titles in Roland-Garros, but she could not address the intensity and power of Sabalenka below the stretch. It falls to 40-3 lives in Terre Batue of Paris in non-Olympic races.

Swiatek says she did not throw her level too much, but it was enough to allow Sabalenka to thrive.

“It’s not like a big difference, but at this level when you play against the best players, you will feel the difference. It came very tightly in the third set and just went to it, and then the set went very quickly.

“I think I didn’t have a lot of time to restore it again like me at the beginning of the second set. I turned out of, what, 4-1 or 3-1 or 3-0 at the beginning. To do the second time it would surely be difficult, but it played, as it didn’t doubt it, and that is what I mean for intensity.

Swiatek knocked down the script temporarily after falling early in the opening group. She was able to stretch rallies and play more in her late conditions in the first and second. But Sabalenka loans to impose yourself ruthlessly on decision makers. She did not make a single mistake in group.

She also flattened significantly, as she intended to rush Swiatek at her start. TNT reported that its rotation rate was reduced over 25 percent from its average in its first five matches. We are thinking that her analytical team played a role in Sabalenka’s tactics, but you credit Belarusis to make that significant change in her tactic.

“Especially at the beginning of the match, she played as much as possible, and quite dangerous,” Swiatek said. “So it was just difficult to get into a rally. And then, I was able to do it, so the game was not like serving and a shot or a return and a shot, and I could build a little rally.” But in the third set I feel like we turned to what happened in the first, and she probably used her chances, and I didn’t really keep what I was in the second set. “
