Maxfli XC2 and XC3 handcuffs are the first Maxfli apologies since the 1990s.

Maxfli waves last year when she Signed Lexi Thompson to play his golf ball and even without actions in PGA Tour, When Ben Griffin put it in the game. But it is likely that no one has seen new Maxfli counterfeit handcuffs.
Starting today, Maxfli has returned again by making clubs with counterfeit cuffs XC2 and XC3.
Back in February, Maxfli offered a sneaky look for some gear scribes, including me, for their first counterfeit handcuffs since the 1990s in PGA National during Cognant Classic.
Undoubtedly, since I was not around during the day of Maxfli Australia blades, I was a little skeptical of what the company may have to offer with a new modern forgery. But it is certain to say that the final product was impressed.
First impressions
Many saw the first images of XC2 and XC3 from the USGA conformity list at the beginning of February, but looking at them personally, I thought they looked extremely different.
XC2 is billed as Players in the iron distance And I was perfectly described by a colleague as it looked like a cross between T150 title and Ping Blueprint S. XC2S (and XC3s for that issue) have a beautiful finish of the silver satin that makes them look premium for a set of handcuffs that are only $ 143/club.
At the address, the new maxflis has some compensation, but nothing that is very good for this one -figure disability, though I am definitely never worried about compensation, except in the shackles of playing the game.
You can also see a screw and a port type that someone would assume is either for weighing or injection into the cavity. More about this in little.
XC3s, for the most part, looks a lot like XC2S – they have the same lofts and lies, with lines, heels and thicker hair. But XC3 are meant more Game improvement players And you have extra apology thanks to a unique weight distribution. The similarities allow them to mix lightly and smoothly.
When I was looking for the first time with long cuffs in each group, I had a difficult time distinguishing them.

What’s under the hood
To find out what came to the XC2S and XC3s, I spoke with Quinn Slicer, a business development associate focusing on Golf brands for Dick’s Sporting Goods, who owns Maxfli.
The idea of bringing the XC2 and XC3 cuffs first began about five years ago when the Maxfli golf ball line began to perform better on the market, eventually leading them to be used at the professional level once every 2024.
Before Dick won by Maxfli in 2008, the brand story was not well held, but they now believe that the XC2 and XC3 cuffs are the first brand forged handcuffs since the Final Australia blades in 1997.
“We really wanted to create something that was good for a wide range of people,” Siker said. “Blades Aussie as delightful as they are, I don’t think they are the most friendly golf club for the masses.”
The cuffs are fully forged by 1025 carbon steel and, to help improve forgiveness, such as XC2 and XC3 use a unique ceramic weight and tungsten to optimize gravity centers.
‘We were all in shock’: Within the new agreement of the Lexi Thompson approval
Yes! Ceramic! You read it right. And if you are wondering if these new handcuffs will be shredded as soon as you hit them, don’t worry.
“Ceramics perfectly fill the hole that is bored for it, and then it is definitely the carbon steel is placed above this, so there is really no concern for its damage,” Slicer said.
Choosing a ceramic filling compared to an empty pattern or a foam -filled design was made in consultation with golfworks, the component company for the construction of the club founded by Ralph Maltby and now under the Dick umbrella.
“They work closely with this plant we are using and it’s just the technology they have used for years,” Siker said, “and they really believe in it and we trust them about everything when it comes to golf club engineering.”
How do they perform
Given that the tournament was continuing and the range was closed, I put the XC2s in a cold game, without hitting them before.
Maxfli personalized them in the same specifications as my players:

Jack Harsh/Golf
Project x 6.5 axes
Lie Corner 60.5-School in 7-HAVE (2 Flat degrees for them)
Length 7-HEKURI 37.5-inch (+.5 inches)
But I used 43-degree and 7.5-degree lofts of 7-Iron-and 7th-degree that are quite typical of today’s players at the distance of the cuff in the distance.
What I found was that these handcuffs were hot. The first swing I did with them, I flew with an 8-and-and-off about 15 yards passing a stake in 172, which is farther than I usually play an 8-Herkuri. This was later confirmed when I got into a release monitor and saw my average ball speed was up to 131.5 mph. In other words, almost a full club longer than my 7-and-end game.
The cuffs also had a strong feeling that I had not really felt before with other players at the distances of the handcuffs. Of course, they are a little bigger than I’m taught typically to see, but the increase in forgiveness is always welcome.
And while the lofts are about three or four degrees stronger than I usually play, I still found the XC2S easy to hit up in the air and hold the greens. Although, as someone who struggles to rotate the ball, I wonder if it would have been stable in stronger conditions as my rotation rates increased about 6,000 for a 7-Herkuri.
While it can be a little bigger and hotter than the handcuffs I would usually play, we should ask ourselves what happened to XC1? I think we’ll have to wait and see.
