Wells Indian, California – Stefanos tsisisitisi He was playing poorly and found no ways to channel the advances he was making in the Court of Practice in his matches. He had to do something about it – so he did.
After his title in Dubai last month – his first in a hardcourt since 2023 – he posted a social media rating: “They said my game was sinking, so I got a boat myself.”

Asked to elaborate on that statement on Sunday, he spoke about his wars for journalists in the main room of BNP Paribas Open.
“The last few months were not amazing to me,” he told reporters after taking it 6-3, 6-3 Matteo Berrettini Sunday in Indian Wells. “I haven’t had any great results or victory that I can say I’m headed to a good running with my game. So I feel like that kind of title was a summary of the last months.”

Tsitsasipas is always quick to post a humorous quote on his X account, so some of the things he says can deal with a grain of salt, but that sounds true to Greece. He was out of his way with his game, and struggling to find his base again after leaving the Top 10.
“I like just a little bit of that humor. It doesn’t hurt,” he said.
It is no secret that Tsisisites have recently begun to use a new rocket. Without naming names-it is still a black frame that he predicts-he indicated the reasons for the change without actually mentioning the change during his press conference.
“I was trying to find ways to improve,” he said. “I feel like some of my opponents that I had to play were overloading me and doing things much better than me to play the biggest tennis. My whole career I was known to have been able to play great tennis, but it was not so great, and I felt like I had to do something about it.”
It is reported that his new racquet has a 16 “x 20” string model, which gives it even more rotary potential and more power. Some reporters say Tsisisisso land shocks have been close to 5 MPH higher than they were before changing.
On Sunday Tsitissepas was affirmative from beginning to end. He only fell eight points in the service and cleaned most of the points with service-one. He is clearly a safer player than he was a month ago, before the new race and new wires.
“I felt like I was unable to go to court and really do it at the level I was doing in practice,” Tsitsasas said. “I was playing practical groups and playing really well. I was winning a lot of practice groups against good opponents. It was just that it didn’t click when it came to the match, and I had to wait a little longer for that.
“With some other changes I added to my game I felt like he added a lot of confidence in the tennis court.”
