I was born and raised in the cold desert that is Utah. And if you know anything about Utahns, it’s that they LOVE dirty soda (try it and thank me later) and wearing shorts and T-shirts in the dead of winter.
OK, maybe the last one is just me. For the longest time, I was averse to layers.
In my old age (27 has never felt so old), I have become more familiar with the idea of dressing appropriately for the weather. And now that fall has finally made its way to my new home here in Virginia, it’s time to ditch the hoodies.

I recently took a new brand for a spin, one I had never heard of until this year: Turtleson.
Perhaps you are already familiar with them. Maybe you’re not. They are a small menswear brand based in Bristol, Tenn. Their logo is sweet and their stuff is pretty expensive. But after receiving them Bellfield hooded sweatshirt for a spin, it’s hard to be too upset.
When I say it’s one of the most comfortable hoodies I’ve ever worn, I mean it. It’s buttery soft on the inside and has a nice texture that creates a great hand feel on the outside.
It’s one of the lightest hoodies I own, making it just about perfect for fall.
The only fault? This damn price. I can’t say for sure that everyone should rush out to spend $150 on this guy. But I can say that if you’re looking for a lightweight hoodie that’s more refined than your typical sportswear, the Turtleson Bellfield is a great place to start.
