Hype Jobs Collide: Edgar Berlanga and Hamzah Sheeraz Battle for Super Middle Weight Supremacy on July 12

Hamzah Sheeraz will have to increase his game for his 12-round match against Great Puncher Edgar Berlanga for their Super Middleweight Fight on July 12 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

Both fighters are Competition at beginner level And don’t prove themselves to 168 pounds as top fighters. They are both very popular without proving that they can beat the leading killers of the division.

Fans believe that Berlanga-Heeraz should be put on the bottom map on July 12, under these battles:

  • Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda
  • Alberto Puello vs. SubBriel Matias
  • David Morrell vs. Imam Khataev

Sheeraz vs. Berlanga: Fight Preview

Both of these fighters are on the mediocre side and are considered classic examples of hype posts. However, Berlanga and Sheeraz have punching power that masks their marginal skills, making it dangerous for everyone in the emptied, talentless super-middleweight division.

Future star of 168 pounds?

This battle can determine who emerges as the next star in the 168 pound section. The weight class is now barren from popular fighters, and the winner of Berlanga-Heeraz can fill the void left by David Banavidez’s exit.

Sheeraz’s last performance against WBC middleweight champion Carlos Adames Last February leaves much doubt as to whether he has the talent to mix it with A-level fighters. Adames has not been a fighter at the elite level for a long time, but he dominated Hamzah, 26, who makes him look bad. If not for the judges who sponsor Shezaz by drawing him a 12 round, he would have suffered his first career defeat.

Berlanga’s hometown advantage

The native of Brooklyn, New York, Berlanga (23-1, 18 COs), is the favorite and will fight in front of his home crowd. It would count for something if the fight is expected to go the full 12 rounds. It is unlikely that the judges will say in this battle, as it is expected to end with knockout.

This is a good thing for Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 COs), because he could find it difficult to win a decision that Edgar is fighting in New York. You must imagine that fans will show a lot of approval for every punch that Berlanga ends up in battle.

Sheeraz training: Outside battles

In a training grip placed from Sheeraz today, you can see that he remains mostly on the outside, uses his range and moves. He will have to fight to avoid Berlanga’s big power photos. Hamzah would be too risky to reach in Berlanga, especially in the early rounds if he is more dangerous.

Berlanga has a slight experience benefit above Sheeraz, given his fight against Canelo Alvarez in September. Although Edgar lost almost every round of the fight, he gave the distance with Canelo the confidence that he could stay with the top fighters in the division. It is doubtful whether Canelo is still the best at 168, but that still means something Berlanga has waived him.

Except for Adames, Sheeraz has not yet fought a significant opponent. His best victory was against Austin Williams, a lack of contender with a record built on tomato cans. In addition to being entangled early by Austin, Hamzah was in full fight the whole battle and formed it well.
