Switzerland Duo adds to its headline with huge marathon victories
Marcel Gug and Catherine Debrunner were a class because both successfully protected their London’s marathon wheelchairs in a convincing style of Sunday morning (April 27).
The Swiss Duo is not strangers to win this event and hug its fifth in a row (he has a total of six) because they took advantage of a wheelchair race.
Eighth time six days after the first end of the Boston Marathon, hugging from the rest of the field to 1: 25:25 reached with Tomok’s Jetze. He now embraces about eight victories, which belong to David Wayrin, the British on this occasion.
The five-year-old Paralympic gold medalist was more dominant, as he broke the London course at 1:38:24 and left his world record 1:34:18. That time will put its 12th in the men’s race.
His winning margin was huge 3:50 that Boston’s winner Susanna Skaron left at a distance 1:48:06. The Cooper of Eden, the winner of the British Eden of the British Eden of Last year, was the fourth one.
