Life these days looks a little different for the eight -year -old PGA Tour veteran Hudson Swaford.
The 37-year-old scored three wins at PGA Tour between 2017 and 2022 before joining Liv Golf, but he has fought with injuries for the last two years. In fact, Swaford is not playing competitive at the moment. Instead, he is working on multifamilic real estate.
“I had been in a very bad place with golf, so doing something new is very refreshing,” Swafford said COLT COLT KNOST AND DREW POLTZ In the episode of this week of subpar.
However, Swaford said he would not completely rule out a return to professional golf, though he admits the road is “unclear” at the moment. Reason? Swaford was moved from Liv last year After competing for three seasons, and says he is currently in the middle of a five-year suspension by PGA Tour.
“I’ve had some good back and forth with PGA Tour, but then some desire to want,” Swafford said. “It’s not yet set in stone. I know they have raised the suspension by ’27, which I know they are baseing it on some contracts of people who are set up after the ’26 season, so then they can change rules in favor of everyone returning.
“I know some guys who had no status,” he continued. “And, you know, it’s a difficult one year event, with no event sanctioned by PGA, but then you can come back and play.”
Swaffford said he wonder what his game schedule would look like if he would return to the tournament in 2027, given the number of field event that now populate the schedule.
“I would go ahead and concrete and say that the last category of champions has become a lot going forward after this year,” he said. “I mean, we can agree or disagree, but it just looks like this. And they have told me this. So I mean, I think you can sign up for Monday’s qualifiers, but I will really be substantially suspended until the ’27 school.”

Why did Swaford hit a five-year suspension? He said this is because he played five Liv Golf events in 2022 during the PGA Tour season for which he was unable to receive media concessions.
“So they are giving me a year for each of them and it was equal to ’27,” Swafford said.
When contacted for commentary and/or explanation of Swaford’s claims, a tournament representative replied: “The tour does not comment on disciplinary issues.”
