With just 36 holes left to play in the 2026 Sony Open, the weekend is sure to be full of drama. A whopping 27 players are within four shots of the current nine-under par tournament lead, which is shared by five players.
One of those leaders: the reigning champion Nick Taylorwho is looking to earn his sixth career PGA Tour victory with a win on Sunday.
“I always like coming back here. It’s great to start the year off with strong golf,” Taylor said after his second-round 69. “You know, just because I’ve had a great record doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to play well, but it certainly helps and I’m excited to have a chance to win again.”
Other notable players currently in the mix include Maverick McNealy and Chris Gotterup (-8), Jake Knapp and Ben Griffin (-6) and Jordan Spieth and Daniel Berger (-4).
