Andrew Novak has already posted the best season of his career in 2025 — and he’s not done yet.
The 30-year-old won his first Tour title alongside teammate Ben Griffin at the Zurich Classic, in addition to posting a total of five top-10 finishes – one of which was runner-up. Novak has amassed more than $7.6 million in earnings and has easily broken into the top 50 on the FedEx Cup points list. The pressure has eased this week in terms of job security, but now, with a one-shot lead heading into the weekend, he has a chance to claim the first solo victory of his career.
“I had a baby two weeks ago, I’m just here coming out of the house and happy to be here and the other guys are fighting for their jobs,” Novak said after his round on Friday. “That’s a big advantage for me this week. I’ve got a little less riding on it. I definitely want to win. It’s a local tournament, so there’s an extra motivation for me to play well here for that. But some guys spend all their years this week.”
