The second round of the 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii begins Friday afternoon at Cougry Water Etiquette Club in Honolulu. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Friday, including full Sony Open TV coverage, broadcast details and second round times.
How to watch the Sony Open on Friday
We’re through a round at the Sony Open, and there’s a familiar face at the top of the leaderboard. Defending the champion Nick Taylor shot a 62 on Thursday in Hawaii to reach eight under. That puts him in a tie for the lead with Kevin Roy. Taylor already has five PGA Tour wins in his career.
But Taylor and Roy have an obvious camaraderie near the top of the leaderboard. Ben Griffinwho joined the US Ryder Cup team and was a finalist for Player of the Year in 2025, is just seven under. He is associated with the rising star Chris Gotterup.
Betting favorite Russell Henley will start the second round three shots back at five under, while JJ Spaun goes to round 2 on four under.
You can watch the second round of the Sony Open on TV via the Golf Channel, which will air beginning Friday night at 7:00 PM ET. PGA Tour live on ESPN+ will offer exclusive broadcast coverage of the group beginning at 12:00 PM ET on Friday.
