How to stop delayed iron shots (3 light drills)


For most players, the push feels a little better than the slices. The ball goes straight to the right (for right hand players) and is usually not as much offline as a ball that will not stop turning further away. Resting iron shooting is an ordinary miss and there are some quick ways to correct it and the square of your club.

What causes the push?

The push is different that a slice or a pallor in that the stroke is right. Simply goes immediately from the target line. The push is caused by:

  • A club face that indicates the right of target (open to the target line) in influence.
  • A rocking road that is also traveling to the right (in-one); The face is usually square on the route.

The face is intended along the path and both show to the right of your target.

Put a tee on your handle

One of the best drills to prevent this is to keep your hand on flat legs. The ankle angle of your lead hand controls the club and if it is filled or bent, it leaves your club open.

Handle

  • Put a theme on the top of your handle in your lead hand. Do not push it all the way. You want it to run on the back of the wrist.
  • Take some Slow swing of practiceHolding it flat enough so that you don’t feel the press on your forearm
  • Do this 10 times with tee in, Drive tee and try to hit a golf ball.

If you want more technology, try displacement. It measures your real -time ankle angles and warns you when they will make your club open in influence.

Keep your attitude

Early golf extension is more easily explained as “standing”. When you reach the impact position, your hips move to the golf ball, open, change the club path and often make the ball go to the right of the target.

Some players stop rotating their bodies when they reach the ball and notice a big push.

Standing in the post helps bring awareness of what your body is doing through influence.

Workout

  • Put with a short iron, something easy to hit.
  • When you decide, imagine a chair or a golf bag is directly behind you.
  • As you swing through the ball, focus on keeping the contact with that chair or golf bag instead of letting your hips be thrown forward.
  • Start with half or three quarter shakes, feeling your chest and spinning to rotate through the impact, not just to influence.

If you can keep your behavior instead of the buttocks moving towards the ball, your hands travel a better way and this will help you stop driving iron shots.

Put a gate

Gate drill is one of my favorite ways to Adjust most of the oscillation deficienciesnot just push. In fact, when I practice in the range and notice inconsistencies, I almost always set the “port” to help improve my way and the club’s awareness.

Gate

  • Put two tee a few inches away on the ground, one on the inner heel of your iron and the other from your toe. You want Tees to be a little wider than your club.
  • Position the ball so it is at the center of this “port”.
  • Take your swing and grab the ball cleanly without hitting either.

Start with smaller shakes to be comfortable. Make more complete shakes and move tee closer together as you gain confidence. TEE Exercise gives immediate feedback and helps you get exactly your way.

Pushing iron shooting can be frustrating because it feels like it is shaking quite well. These three drills should help you adjust the push and start hitting the right shots. Fortunately, all you need to do them are some golf.
