Every golf player has fought with a slice While playing this game. Heck, even the best players in the world have hit a large banana ball once once or another. It is a shot that every golf player knows and scares.

The most common victims of scary slice are high handicaps and beginners. If one shoots over 100 on a regular basis, there is a good chance that they are a stable cut.

As anyone who has fought with a slice knows, healing the disease can feel impossible. Indeed, however, healing your slice is easier than you think. All you have to do is make some simple changes in your configuration.

For help with this we turn to Nick Clearwater, a Top 100 Golf teacher AND GolftecSenior Vice President of Player Development.

How to fix your slice

We learn a LOT From players with high handicap to Golftec, and for many of them, a slice is their typical ball flight. With most of them, the cause of that slice comes from a poor composition.

When analyzing a pace of a pro with ours Optimal technology, We are placed with their shoulder easily open and with their shoulders bowed about 15 degrees away from the target. With almost all chronic teams, their shoulders are more open and level in relation to the target. This configuration is a recipe to hit that scary banana ball.

To fix this, we only need to make some simple configuration adjustments. Close your lead shoulder slightly (move it toward the ball), and then twist your lead arm toward the target until your elbow shows the flag. To help you get in this position, put your lead hand more on top of the club like you with a strong check. Do it before any shakes, and should bring you closer to those configuration numbers we see with the good.

Once you get down these configuration positions, you should start to see a more neutral ball flight. As is as easy as it.
