One of the most overlooked bases in Golf is approximation. Even skilled players slide into bad habits. Right holders begin to target left to compensate a slice or right to make a blow. This usually makes things worse.
The stretch fixing does not require a change of oscillation. It is a simple check that gives you more confidence and a better chance to start the ball in line. Here are some bases to help you start lining up properly.
Why stretch issues (and how moves)
Many players do not understand how far their goal is going. You can be 20 or even 40 yards left or right of the target without knowing it. Over time, “your golf eyes” fit a crooked configuration and your brain creates shaky compensations to restore the ball into line.
The best way to prevent this is to have a sense of stretch and then a routine that controls your stretch on the course.
Both lines you need to check (“Train Tracks”)
Think of the extension as two parallel trains.
- Clubface line (Ball-to-Target): Where the face shows the influence. This determines where the ball begins.
- Body line (TOE-to-target): Your feet, knees, hips and shoulders should be placed parallel to target (not indicating directly to the target itself).

Your stretch routine
One of the best ways to ensure the proper approximation in Golf is to have a routine. Practice this routine in the running range and then, when you start using it on the course, it will become the second nature for you.
- Select a correct target In the distance – like the top of a tree, a flag or a yard mark.
- Choose an intermediate place Only a few inch inch in front of the ball (a leaf, old divot, dark bar blade) that is in the same line as your correct target.
- Target first club club: Place the lower square of the groove, so it shows through the ball, through the place, on the intermediate target.
- Build your attitude while looking at the target: Open inside, keep your legs parallel to that line and match your knees, thighs and shoulders.
- Fast control: In the range, throw a club across your fingers every few balls to confirm that you are parallel.
- Last view and go: A target look, believe it, shake.
Targeting Tee box
box Give you check to place your ball on the topic as you wish. Take advantage of this, especially as a young player. Line up the printed bar of your ball (or a charpie line) with your target before setting your feet. If you play a pallor or draw, put the club on your start line, not where you hope the blow ends. This releases your swing instead of force compensation in the middle.
Targeting out of the way
You cannot move the ball here, so to rely on the same process: the remote target, the intermediate place, the square club, the parallel attitude. Once you have chosen a smart target, commit to it. Do not allow nearby hazards to withdraw your stretch from the course.
Most importantly, before shaking, make sure you have not adjusted your extension. After you choose your line, climb it.
Targeting green (setting)
Interestingly, setting is where stretching matters more. At the top or by the road, your line may be a little away and you will surely end up near your target. on Green settingEven just one inch away in your extension, you will lose your putt.
Start by marking and replacing the ball with its line that aims exactly at your start line. Square face paved on that line, then build your stay parallel to it. In very short strokes, it may look or feel as if your feet are left out of the hole (for right-wing) -This is just a visual perspective, not a mistake. Once you have confidence in the line, the only remaining job is to match the right pace.

Target for chips and clashes and jogging
For short shots around green, choose a landing place than in the hole. Line the club in that place, then match your body lines in parallel. Because the ball rotates like a stroke after you sit, factor at rest as you would do in green.
Rapid stretch controls
- Foot Line Control: Discard a club across your fingers, open back and confirm that it is parallel to your ball line.
- Shoulder Control: Wrap the club low with your trail hand, lay it through your chest and look at if you show towards the target.
- Ordinary Lower Control: Make sure the main edge is square in configuration; Don’t just trust your eyes.
Last thought
The lining will not guarantee a perfect pace, but will guarantee that your swing has a right chance. Always aim for the club first, then match your body lines with it. Build this in every blow and you will stop fighting compensating habits and you will start hitting the ball where you want to go.
