Min Woo Lee had a chance to win the player championship a few weeks ago, but split during a third clumsy round, which saw him fall from the quarrel.
The Australian 26-year-old, who has three PD World Tour’s wins, has been in the pg of PGA Tour several times, but has not yet closed the deal. Lee looked at his TPC sawmill as an important moment in his evolution as a professional and leaned to that experience on Saturday to Houston Texas children Open when he magnified the past Scottie Scheffler and in the lead in Memorial.
“Today I did an amazing job, not (taking in front of you),” Lee said on Saturday. “It was a very good curve of learning the latest players just weeks ago being in the lead and just, I don’t know, I felt like I wasn’t myself. Yes, I just needed – you know, I want to be in this situation more and more, so I had to look at myself and just keep my head really and try a shot at a time.
Lee entered Sunday with a four -shot lead to Alejandro Tosti and a five -stroke lead over Scheffler, but closing a tour is rarely easy in PGA Tour, regardless of the pillow.
Lee fought with a swinging driver on Sunday in the memorial park, but was able to carry a difficult scheffler and Gary Woodland to look for his first PGA Tour career victory.
