I built my dream golf simulator setup in my man cave. If you want to get the full DIY process, I shared all my details garage renovation. The centerpiece of my dream build is my Studio Full Swing KIT.
The number one question I get is, “Why did you choose Full Swing as your simulator?”
I have five reasons.

1: Full-motion communications
Right from the start, I was impressed by the open line of communication with the Full Swing Team. Whatever questions I had, big or small, they were prepared to answer and even offered advice on questions not directly related to their product as I built my space.
Whether it was directly from the Full Swing communications team or the automated AI service located on their website, I have been advised every step of the way, in the most helpful ways, by Full Swing.
This may sound subtle, but I got radio silence from many other companies in the space when I started doing my research on golf simulator options. You will have questions throughout the process. Trust me, and you’ll want trusted sources to help you answer them.
2: Affordable custom options
No two home simulator spaces are the same. While most custom simulator options come with a hefty premium price, I was pleasantly surprised to see Full Swing options offered that wouldn’t break the bank for me. There are very reasonable Full Swing KIT Studio options available to pair with a premium performance Full Swing KIT launch monitor at a variety of price options.
3: DIY Friendly
As I alluded to above, I wasn’t in the market for a simulator build that came with a professionally installed option. If you are, Full Swing has that too, and it can be found in some people’s homes important professional players. However, I am not in the same tax bracket…
For my Studio Full Swing KIT, it was safely shipped on a pallet and delivered directly to my garage door. A+ service, I might add. The package comes with detailed step-by-step instructions that any DIY beginner can follow. With the help of my dad, a neighbor, and a pair of ladders, we put the whole thing together in less than two hours without a hiccup.
This setup process may earn its way into an “so easy a caveman could do it” ad one day.
4: Exercise with purpose
Reason no. 1 I wanted a home golf simulator is to have a place to practice in the winter. I live on Long Island and our golf season is roughly six months out of the year. This leaves the sticks on ice half the year. Not anymore!
One problem I have, and most other amateur golfers share, is hitting balls on the range for the sake of hitting balls. I’m not getting better at all. Either way, I’m making myself worse by continuing to reinforce bad habits with no real goals.
With my Full Swing setup, I can now practice with a purpose. It’s a data-driven world these days, and there’s no arguing that data insights can help everyone’s golf game. The Full Swing KIT comes with 16 data points available for each swing. While not all of these numbers are useful to me, I try to focus on the numbers that help me with what I’m trying to achieve. If you’re a data nerd, you’ll be in heaven.
All this data is transmitted from the launch monitor on the laptop and the Full Swing app on your phone. Now I’m able to study trends and see progress with what I’m working on. Another reason to spend more time on our phones – albeit a good one for once.
5: All types of courses
As a PGA Tour partner, it’s hard to beat the variety of courses available to play using Full Swing software. Many can be found in Top 100 GOLF courses in the world list. Whether it’s Pebble Beach, The Old Course or TPC Sawgrass, the course selection is as good as it gets in the simulator space.
The biggest deterrent in the past about simulator golf was how unrealistic and poor the graphics were. This is no longer the case, especially with Full Swing. The courses are sharp and I feel like I’m putting in quality practice rounds when I finally make the bucket list trip to Pebble Beach.
