For the second time in his illustrative career, Rory Mcilroy is a player champion. To win that victory, the Northern Irish had to overcome Jj spaun on a play off. Most of the week at TPC Sawgrass was highlighted by whip winds. For moon’s Play off, those gusts were pulled to a ladder.
The shaky winds often give the players suitable. And when adding the diabolic obstacles dreamed of by Pete Dye, navigating the course becomes similar to a tight act.
Of the two Play off contenders on Monday morning, Mcilroy proved that it was more capable of wind treatment. And this can be partially attributed to how he prepared for play -off in the range before the round.

One of the benefits of a Monday end is that the course is mostly empty. Of course, there are a small part of the fans and the other supporting staff, but compared to that of the last Sunday round, the bases feel like a ghost town.
This void extends to the objects of practice. And in preparation to go to fight with the elements, Mcilroy used to have a range for himself.
Without other players, the cadites and support staff in Rang, Mcilroy decided to get a little creative with his heat routine. Knowing that Era would come from different directions to the course, he decided to simulate those situations in the range by hitting balls in all different directions.
“Hard hard to get both winds when you warm up,” Mcilroy said. “Seeing that no one was around this morning, it was best to be able to go back and hit those shots in the wind I felt like it would be.”
Smart preparations seem to have been paid after the 35-year-old pro-prevailing on the play off while sailing the elements to perfection. Now, he can call himself a twice champion.
