The French joined this week Golf Subpar Podcast To discuss the cover of Monday’s qualification and more. He was also asked to name the most famous person with whom he has become friends over the past two years. He said he is the future defender of the Hall of Fame.
“Aaron has been super good behind the scenes for me,” the French said. “I had aired Scottsdale Open (in May 2020 during Covid)That I think was the only sporting event that is happening in the world at the time. And you can see who came in to see the flow, and she said Aaron Rodgers, and I was like, oh, it’s a fake account. And then, maybe a couple of weeks later, he sent me messages. I was like, What the hell is it going on?
“He has been super beautiful. He wants to keep this in the low landing, so now I will show it in the pod,” continued French. “I have tried my best to help the players, or if they steal their car or need money, whatever, and he will simply send me messages and be like, ‘hey, is this a good guy or a good player?’ And I would be like, and he would either make me money and then he will vertify the player or he would do it anonymously in the way. “
Rodgers is a thirsty golf-and a low one-digit handicap who played at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM, American Century Championship and one of the Bre-TV matches when he joined Bryson Dechambeau to take over Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady 2021.
“He has been extremely wonderful,” the French said. “He has helped my foundation several times. Public and private people, think about what you want for Aaron, but my experience with him has been nothing but amazing.”
