Blades Brown made a spraying in the first professional start of his new career last month when he shot an eight under 64 years old During the second round of American Express. Not bad for a 17-year-old professional, right?
Brown made his debut at PGA Tour as an amateur at Myrtle Beach Classic 2024 and connected to the 26th. Since then he has decided to cross the college and return the pros, and he has taken an exception to a sponsor in the American Express in what was his first start as a professional.
After a 72s of the first round, his 64 hit him at the head of the manager. He still lost cutting, but he made many titles in the process.
The PGA Tour Charley Hoffman veteran already knew what Brown was capable of. Hoffman was the captain of the President of President Junior Brown Cup who played last season, and in the American Express Hoffman spoke about what impressed him most about the teenager.
“I got up before the team played – we would say 5 in the morning – and I would go and work, and he was in the gym working outside,” Hoffman said. “I don’t know if I had that work ethic at 17 – I promise you I didn’t. I didn’t know what the gym was.”
Brown, speaking to the media after this 64, said he receives that ethics of his parents work. His mother, Rhonda Brown (Blades), played in WNBA.
“I love the gym,” he said last week at Podcast Subpar of Golf. “The gym is a great place to do the job. I love lifting weights, I like the aspect of its recovery. “
When at home, Brown said he usually works with a coach four to five times a week. When he attended school personally – he is now online – he would wake up in front of school and work at 6.
“After (school), I would go to balls, then do what I have to do, play a match with a couple of my friends, return, or either watch a movie or play basketball, and then Pickleball, only depending on the day, ”he said. “Then go to sleep and do it again.”
“He sets the job, he is a strong golf player and no doubt the future is too bright for him,” Hoffman said. “However it’s not easy here and we hope he has a lot of success, but it’s a fierce training ground here in PGA Tour, and we hope he will get some success early.”
