The injury forced Andreesc to withdraw from the National Bank open before appearing in its confrontation with Mirra Andreeva today.

Through a litigation of damage in recent years, Andreeescu said she should laugh not to be mad.

“All that I could think about is, honestly, like why, again?” Andreescu told the media in Montreal. “I think I even
Shouted, “Why does this continue to happen to me?” Yes, just a bunch of emotions. I was super overwhelmed obviously playing in front of the crowd at home. Winning the match, right?

“It was a match point for me, and it was just crazy. It was crazy. I started laughing at a point
Because, honestly, at this point it is laughing. For me it is just crazy. Crazy crazy. I’m trying to stay positive,
But it’s really difficult. It is getting really harsh. ”

Currently ranked No. 187, Andreeescu said she hopes to recover in time to play cincinnati, but it is not sure that her ankle will heal as soon as allowing her to play in Queen City.

“Taking that day to day, but obviously the ligaments are a little torn, so it takes time,” Andreescu said. “So it’s a kind of everyday thing. I hope to be ready for Cincinnati, but yes, we don’t know. Can’t.
I say. “

The open hopes of 25-year-old Canadians will be in doubt if she does not heal in time for cincinnati and should play qualifications in Flushing’s meadows. A year ago, Andreescu pushed the finalist of Wimbledon and Jasmine Paolini of the seventh seed at 6-4 in the third set at a loss of the first US Open round.

Andreescu admits that her injury problems have made her think of a premature pension, she said she loves sports and looks at the issues of injury as a test she is determined to pass.

“In my bad days, which yesterday was definitely a very bad day for me, I definitely had different thoughts passing through my head, but at the end of the day, I know I really love this sport,” Andreescu said. “I was given so much, and the emotions I take – just one example, last night it was extraordinary to be able to play in front of my crowd at home and in fact win and finish the game, even though I was still hurt.

“If you are talking about retirement or whatever … I don’t know. Just because I definitely thought about it too, but no, like that, for me, my goals are still set. Yes, I will have bad days, but I know my goals, and I know what I want to achieve in this sport.

“So, yes, all I have to do is do my best, and I know we haven’t done anything wrong. Yes, I think, I don’t know, just happened. The universe just keeps trying me, but I know it will make me stronger.”
